Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

Author Guidelines

For publication consideration, authors should prepare manuscripts as follows:

1. All submissions must include a title page and a listing of all authors, their degrees, their e-mail address, their institutional affiliation, their full mailing addresses, and their phone and fax numbers (include country code).

2. Submissions should include an abstract of no more than 150 words (highlighting the scope, methodology, and conclusions of the paper) at the beginning of each manuscript.

3. If using copyrighted material (quotations, tables, illustrations, etc.), the author is responsible for obtaining permission from the copyright holder.

4. Tables and figures, a maximum of three each, must be included within the text of the paper. In addition, it is expected that the author will prepare the table/figure for a professional appearance. ALL TABLES MUST BE CREATED USING THE TABLE FUNCTION WITHIN A WORD PROCESSING SYSTEM OR CREATED VIA A SPREADSHEET (i.e., Excel). If unable to complete such a task, the staff at the Journal will undertake them at a charge of $125 per table or graph.

5. Follow the 5th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association for citation format in the text, for bibliographic reference format in the reference list, and for other stylistic issues. This manual and other useful works on APA style are available from the American Psychological Association at their Web site

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. When available, the URLs to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference. The URLs are ready to click (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca).
4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review) have been followed.

Copyright Notice

It is the Journal's intent that, upon publication, copyright is assigned to the publisher and includes but is not limited to all publication, reproduction, and commercialization rights in all media, with the understanding that Internet users will have free access to the current and archived contents of the Electronic Green Journal (EGJ). Materials from the EGJ site may not be published on any web site or used in any commercial endeavor in any form without written permission from the EGJ. All questions regarding specific articles, columns, and reviews should be addressed to the general editor.

After publication, the author has the right to quote from, reprint, translate, or reproduce the article in any book or article he/she may later write. In addition, the author has the right to photocopy and print the article for his/her own use. If the author reproduces the work, the original copyright notice, as it appears in the Journal, must be included.
